In w<a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/2026\/04\/01\/making-another-splash\/20260314_1753401\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7293\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7293 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/files\/2026\/04\/20260314_1753401-237x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"109\" height=\"138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/files\/2026\/04\/20260314_1753401-237x300.jpg 237w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/grange-over-sands\/files\/2026\/04\/20260314_1753401.jpg 810w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 109px) 100vw, 109px\" \/><\/a>hat is now time honoured style, the team were splashing out in the annual Swimathon to raise money for <a href=\"https:\/\/shelterbox.org\/\">ShelterBox<\/a>. At the end of the evening, they were tired, but happy. With two swimmers in the water at all times they\u2019d swum a magnificent 159 lengths in 50 minutes. Hard work indeed, but worth it. \u00a0The money raised, in the region of \u00a31,000 will help to \u00a0provide \u00a0more emergency shelters for displaced people. And at this time of escalating warfare and climate-change related catastrophe, there are ever more folk in need. Big thanks to Sheila, Maria, Sonia, Helen, Isabel and Kath.
