\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Whittaker<\/a> Gin and Whiskey<\/h3>\n

Club members and a couple of Soroptimisters \u00a0enjoyed a wonderful evening in beautiful #Nidderdale tasting Whittakers Gin on 19th June. The distillery<\/a>, based at Harewell House Farm in Dacre Banks, Harrogate, started in 2019. Toby Whittaker welcomed us with a glass of gin and tonic or non alcoholic alternative as we sat in the evening sun. He gave us a guided tour of the distillery and spoke about the processes of making Gin and Whiskey. All the different flavours of Gin were explained. \u00a0Toby then took us into the area where \u00a0many casks of Whiskey were Maturing. \u00a0The casks, in order to produce the best flavour were amazingly expensive with some coming from the USA, Spain and Madeira.<\/p>\n

Gin Tasting<\/h3>\n

This was followed by tasting 8 Gins, with very tasty Pork Pies and nibbles followed by delicious Pepperoni and Margareta Pizzas with lovely thin Pizza bases. To accompany the food we had a gin of our choice or a small bottle to take home for the drivers.
\nCrabby Old Tom Gin came out to be the favourite
\nIt was a \u00a0Fantastic evening with friends in the sunshine with gin and first class home made pizzas to follow.<\/p>\n
