{"id":4585,"date":"2021-07-01T17:22:05","date_gmt":"2021-07-01T16:22:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/hertford-and-district\/?p=4585"},"modified":"2021-07-19T19:39:17","modified_gmt":"2021-07-19T18:39:17","slug":"afternoon-tea-boxes-june-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/hertford-and-district\/2021\/07\/01\/afternoon-tea-boxes-june-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Isabel Hospice Fundraiser June 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thinking of new ways to fundraise for the charities we support as Soroptimists, can be challenging.\u00a0 Particularly during this time of a pandemic, that restricts everything we do.\u00a0 Nonetheless Anne, one of our members, set about organising Tea Boxes for delivery to home addresses, in return for donations.\u00a0 Raising money for the Isabel Hospice.<\/p>\n<h2>Team Effort<\/h2>\n<p>Many of our club members supported Anne to put together the boxes.\u00a0 Members provided delicious food, organised lucky number prizes, prepared and delivered the Tea Boxes.<\/p>\n<p>Margaret&#8217;s niece, Jane was invaluable to the enterprise by providing attractive cup cakes, making delicious lavender shortbread and putting the sandwiches into sealed plastic bags.<\/p>\n<h2>Thank you<\/h2>\n<p>We are most grateful to Jane for her support and, Anne and everyone who helped make it happen.\u00a0 It was nice to be together to work on a project and the Tea Boxes have been extremely well received, so thank you everyone.<\/p>\n<h4><em>Anne said &#8220;I am delighted to say that, so far you and our friends have generously donated \u00a3940 for the Isabel Hospice.&#8221;<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>The final total could be higher, as donations are still coming in.\u00a0 What a wonderful team effort from our Soroptimists and supporters.<\/p>\n<p>Isabel Hospice sent us a thank you for the donations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thinking of new ways to fundraise for the charities we support as Soroptimists, can be&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":245,"featured_media":4594,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-4585","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-club-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Isabel Hospice Fundraiser June 2021 | News | Blog | Events | SI Hertford and District<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"SI Hertford and District : Blog &amp; News : Isabel Hospice Fundraiser June 2021 : Keep up to date with the latest news, articles and events from the Soroptimists of SI Hertford and District .
