The charities chosen each year can be large or small, \u00a0local to national to international, and follow the Soroptimist criteria of educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls. The charities for 2026-27 are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nwfrg.co.uk\">North West First Responder Group <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/lendwithcare.org\/info\/how-it-works\">Lend with Care<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nwfrg.co.uk\">North West First Responder Group<\/a> <span class=\"wixui-rich-text__text\"><span class=\"color_37 wixui-rich-text__text\">operates in Wirral, Liverpool, Neston, Ellesmere Port, Chester and Carlisle &amp; District supporting vital emergency care and CPR awareness in local communities. The volunteers deliver life-saving care on behalf of North West Ambulance Service. In addition to responding to 999 emergencies they \u00a0offer free CPR and defibrillator awareness sessions.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lendwithcare.org\/info\/how-it-works\">Lend with Care<\/a> is part of Care International UK. It operates in eleven countries to help the poorest people find routes out of poverty. This is achieved by bringing together loans from supporters such as the Club \u00a0and known as <a href=\"https:\/\/lendwithcare.org\/angels\">Lendwithcare Angels<\/a> with low-income entrepreneurs to help them build their businesses and lives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; For 2026-27 the Club will support two charities through service and fundraising.
