At a recent club meeting Hannah Walsh, fundraiser from the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity<\/a>, gave an informative talk about the work of the charity which is the only charity dedicated to Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The Centre has sites at Clatterbridge in Wirral, \u00a0Liverpool City Centre and Aintree. The charity raises funds for research, equipment and to improve patient treatment areas and experience.<\/p>\n

‘World Health Day 2026, observed on 7 April, calls on people everywhere to stand with science. Under the theme \u201cTogether for health. Stand with science\u201d, this year\u2019s observance launches a year\u2011long campaign celebrating the power of scientific collaboration to protect the health of people, animals, plants, and the planet. The campaign spotlights both scientific achievements and the multilateral cooperation needed to turn evidence into action \u2013 through a strong focus on the One Health approach.’<\/p>\n
