Refugee Voices – The Zephaniah Trust

Ilkley Soroptimists, continuing the theme of Every Voice Counts, heard a presentation of Refugee Voices given by the Bradford based Zephaniah Trust. Given home is where the heart is, the group of eight players explored dramatically what happens when home is not a safe place, and told of arduous and circuitous journeys to Bradford by three people seeking refugee status and UK citizenship. The  group also informed members of the  Schools of Sanctuary established  in Bradford and the work of the Trust in primary schools across the Bradford District. Soroptimist meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at the Clarke Foley Centre.
