Orange symbolises a brighter future, free from violence. It is used as the colour of the UN International day of the Elimination of violence against Women on 25 November each year. As a show of solidarity, the UNESCO globe is also illuminated in orange.<\/p>\n<p>This year emphasis is given to the threat to girls and women on line regardless of age, background or gender.
