Membership Event
May is the Membership Month at the SIGBI Federation. NASI Membership Officer Anitha Rajarajan got together the membership officers of all clubs for a fun and talent display online event. Two of the proposed clubs also participated. The lively event was well attended by Soroptimists from most clubs. It was a display of the diverse talents of the members.


Condolence meeting for SIGBI President
SIGBI President Johanna Raffan, passed away after a stroke in early June. NASI President Achina Kundu organized a condolence event where she was fondly remembered with testimonies, songs, spiritual readings and more. The tribute meeting from the Indian Soroptimists was attended by senior SIGBI Officers and from other Federations.

NASI Programme Action Chairperson Rema Ramchandran, organized a webinar where the SIGBI Programme Director and some of the Assistant Programme Directors had presentation for the audience. All Programme Action Officers of Clubs attended. The interactive session addressed several challenges that Soroptimists face in the work. The pandemic situation hasn’t helped and newer ways of delivering projects have been experimented with. Despite it all NASI Clubs did extensive work during the height of the pandemic-meeting the needs of all communities

Soroptimists in India marked the Centenary of Soroptimist International in a joyous way-it was a celebration of the work the friendship and the connectivity that the organization has given.
