… through Advocacy, Awareness and Action. But what does that mean? At Ipswich and District Soroptimists we get up to a lot, some of it is advocacy, other times we are raising awareness and other times it’s all about action.
Did you know in SIGBI (Soroptimists of Great Britain and Ireland) there are 359 clubs in 29 different countries? That’s one big network.
But that’s just SIGBI! Across the globe there are clubs in 124 countries and over 85,000 members! That is 85,000 voices, pretty powerful really. The Soroptimists don’t just work locally. We’re involved with organisations at a national and international level such as World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and the United Nations.
Why not take a look at the Advocacy events we’ve involved and find out more. If you would like more information about Soroptimists International click here and you can also find out Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland on the SIGBI website.
