There are many good reasons for fundraising; some very simple but effective projects can make the world of difference.

£240 was raised last year for a toilet block for a school in Africa.  We chose to have the block built for a school in Sierra Leone, a country where our organisation have been instrumental in building a school in the past.

And we have the certificate to prove it has been built, making a real difference to children, particularly young girls who are menstruating.  Now they can go to school every week in the month.

Soroptimists also make washable sanitary towels and provide knickers for girls so they no longer have to stay at home when their period occurs.
