{"id":1076,"date":"2015-07-27T09:16:29","date_gmt":"2015-07-27T08:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/?p=1076"},"modified":"2015-07-27T09:16:29","modified_gmt":"2015-07-27T08:16:29","slug":"july-2015-were-committed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/2015\/07\/27\/july-2015-were-committed\/","title":{"rendered":"July 2015 &#8211; We&#8217;re committed!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ok so some of my friends think I should be committed.\u00a0\u00a0 Husband Dave tells me that he has finally booked the flights, just as well as we are due to fly in 8 weeks.\u00a0\u00a0 As he says \u2018we have to go now\u2019! \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I\u2019m a bit worried about the luggage allowance, we still have 2 x 23kg each of hold luggage but the cabin allowance is now only 7kg.\u00a0\u00a0 Hmmm, this is going to require some imaginative packing; either that or we go native and buy our clothes when we are out there.<\/p>\n<p>My magnificent Medicines Management Team is the best in the world.\u00a0\u00a0 At the last team meeting before the summer break, as I\u2019ve promised not to spend the money on my flight, they \u2018sponsor\u2019 digital thermometers, urine testing strips, syringes and needles to the tune of \u00a3120.<\/p>\n<p>They also bring in piles of good quality brightly coloured children\u2019s clothing, my spare bed is fast disappearing under a delightful array.\u00a0\u00a0 Think I must be a frustrated \u2018grandma\u2019 in waiting as I coo over the garments!<\/p>\n<p>The Communications Team at Coventry &amp; Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group find out about my Malawi Madventure and decide to run a piece on me, hopefully this will raise more money I can spend on small items\u00a0 of equipment.
