{"id":4541,"date":"2020-01-20T18:14:57","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T18:14:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/?p=4541"},"modified":"2020-05-12T16:49:36","modified_gmt":"2020-05-12T15:49:36","slug":"so-what-on-earth-do-i-say-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/2020\/01\/20\/so-what-on-earth-do-i-say-now\/","title":{"rendered":"So, what on earth do I say now when someone admits they&#8217;re being abused?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2020\/01\/Poster.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4715 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2020\/01\/Poster.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a>Would you know how to respond in those first moments if someone had enough courage to tell you that they thought they were being abused?<\/p>\n<p>Could you recognise the signs that someone might want to tell you something important about their situation?<\/p>\n<p>How would you raise the subject if you thought someone might be in an abusive relationship?<\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>So we set up a workshop to answer these questions<\/h2>\n<p>We worked with a trainer on behalf of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.refuge.org.uk\/our-work\/our-services\/refuge-warwickshire-domestic-violence-service\/\">Warwickshire Refuge.<\/a>\u00a0 <\/em>Eighteen of our Club and three daughters attended a workshop to look at these questions.
