Her talk was emotionally charged, coming from personal tragic experience, and inspiring, and it made us glad we had been able to support Baby Lifeline this year. Particularly poignant was the moment Soroptimist Gill told us that she had been in the meeting at the hospital, more than 40 years ago, at which the first funding was granted to the nascent charity and remembered well how Judy, a young nurse at the time, had convinced the room that she would be worth backing.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">More than 30 members joined the online meeting, on an evening when the treacherous weather made zooming the sensible option.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Despite the limitations we also managed to move forward with the club&#8217;s plans for 26\/27.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">As always, team work triumphed over technology<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many thanks to Judy Ledger MBE for her presentation at January&#8217;s business meeting by zoom&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":883,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8011","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-latest"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Baby Lifeline.
