The dedication and commitment of him and his wife is humbling and we have been happy to support them when we have been able to.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2926.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8021 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2926-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2926-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2926.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The statistics about the levels of poverty and the details of life with very little access to good health care for children are frightening and Gordon and his team have worked substantial miracles fund raising and organising the renovation and equipping of semi-derelict hospital wards including the provision of orthotic aids, wheel chairs and home chairs,\u00a0 providing piped oxygen to the children&#8217;s wards and resuscitation trolleys for moving children from the operation theatre to intensive care beds. Another major project has been education for medical staff, and funding to provide regular gifts of money for retired nursing staff to enable them to return to work.<\/p>\n<p>In terms o<a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2927.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-8016 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2927-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2927-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kenilworth-and-district\/files\/2026\/02\/IMG_2927.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>f fund raising, Gordon told us of a member of staff who ran 110km and raised \u00a355,000 for the resuscitation trolleys and how the Christmas Appeal raised \u00a327,600.
