Recycling Awareness Day was an event supported by Northampton County and Kettering Borough Councils.
It was held in Kettering town centre on a Saturday with the aim of helping the general public to be more aware, and how they can play there part in recycling.
Before the event took place SI Kettering Soroptimist had to lean themselves all about recycling.
This took the form of:
1. Kettering Borough Council representatives giving us a talk about the best way
s to recycle and more importantly what is going to happen if we don’t.
2. Trip to a recycling plan in Northampton were first hand we could see how our own household rubbish was sorted and processed.
