As a result, The College launched a social media campaign that featured the college&#8217;s football team (the White Ribbon Campaign had aligned with the men&#8217;s football World Cup 2022).\u00a0 Following on from the day, the college is now a White Ribbon accredited organisation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Federation Conference<\/h2>\n<p>Several members of SI King&#8217;s Lynn joined the Federation Conference 2022 in Belfast &#8211; The project aims to convert the current church bungalow into a multi-purpose centre. In conjunction with West Norfolk Mind, the bungalow will include a drop-in centre and community cafe which it is hoped will go some way in helping the mental health needs of people living in the area. Keeping in touch is so important in maintaining the mental health and wellbeing of children caring for a family member.<\/p>\n<p>Jane Evans, CEO at West Norfolk Carers commented: \u201cwe are very grateful for the thoughtful donation from the Soroptimists. The need for alternative equipment was unforeseen and was an unbudgeted expense. This donation has been great, because it means that we can improve our contact with young carers and help minimise the distress caused by the pandemic, and the isolation that many of the young carers are feeling\u201d. <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kings-lynn\/files\/2020\/08\/Cards-45.docx\">Cards 45 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kings-lynn\/files\/2020\/08\/Cards-45-pg-28009.docx\">Cards 45 pg 2<\/a>\u00a0 They are on sale &#8211; priced from 50p to \u00a32 to support local charities<\/p>\n<p>Our friends from across the <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/london-anglia\/\">London Anglia Region<\/a> and\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/kings-lynn\/friendship-links\/\">Friendship Links <\/a>\u00a0 have joined in too, with a member from Ipswich Club who has also walked 45km and the club has delivered 45+ syringe driver bags.\u00a0 \u00a0Colchester Club recently making up bags for their local hospice.<\/p>\n<p>The club was instrumental in setting up the Colchester St Helena hospice and until COVID they volunteered by running the Sunday reception desk. Members have knitted 45 items &#8211; jumpers, hats and animals. The photo below includes 8 jumpers with 8 matching hats, 15 baby vests, 1 pair of mittens, 13 hats and some animals, and poppies for Remembrance &#8211; 45
