ActNow is the United Nations global call to individual action on climate change. This year, the campaign is focusing on two mini campaigns around food and fashion. ActNow is inviting people around the world to share their contribution to sustainable food consumption. The campaign aims to inspire more people to enjoy sustainable, climate conscious and delicious food. The challenge: cooking dishes that are delicious but also good for the planet and us – reducing meat consumption and using more diverse vegetarian ingredients instead.
The textile industry produces 20% of global water waste and 85% of textiles end up in landfills or incinerated when most of these materials could be reused.
