Regional President Dishi Attwood and friend Kate together with club members Chris Corless and Bev Billings went along from SI Lichfield.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0With food and entertainment reflecting the 1940\u2019s, guests were invited to come along in outfits from this era.\u00a0 Many Soroptimists dressed for the occasion and guests were treated to a tea of drinks, sandwiches and a huge array of homemade cakes.\u00a0 Music from the 40\u2019s and 50\u2019s was provided by Sarah Raymond and Marc Andrews, better known as the duo \u201cString of Pearls\u201d.\u00a0 It was not long before everyone was singing along to songs from an era all too many of them could remember!!<\/p>\n<p>All profits from the event went to Spurgeons Young Carers Project, one of Tina Watson, the current club President\u2019s charities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; As part of their 70th Anniversary celebration, SI Bilston &amp; District hosted an&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":438,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[14],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-1257","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-archive"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>70th Celebration 40&#039;s Style | News | Blog | Events | SI Lichfield and District<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"SI Lichfield and District : Blog &amp; News : 70th Celebration 40&#039;s Style : Keep up to date with the latest news, articles and events from the Soroptimists of SI Lichfield and District .
