\u00a0 Our presentation evening last night took plave at Chapters Coffee Shop (that also does meals!).\u00a0 We were delighted to welcome the following:<\/p>\n
Liz Pritchard on behalf of Young Carers received an allocation of \u00a3250 to add to the \u00a3250 that we had given during the year.<\/p>\n
John May of Talking Newspapers received the \u00a3500 raised at the quiz night last Saturday.<\/p>\n
Sylvia Smetham of the St Chad’s 5th Brownies received an allocation of \u00a3350 to be drawn on to support particular cases.\u00a0 We also provide equipment and service when we lead at least 3 sessions per year with this pack.<\/p>\n
Angela Reynolds in her role as Benevolent Fund Officer for the Region received a cheque for \u00a3100.<\/p>\n
Avril Commons received a cheque on behalf of Breast Cancer for \u00a3200, this was in addition to the costs of printing the ‘Click for Mammograms’ cards.<\/p>\n
Jackie Jones was unable to attend but a cheque for \u00a3100 will be given to the St Giles Hospice Shop where she is a key volunteer.<\/p>\n
Laura Meehan received a cheque on behalf of the Lichfield Ethiopian Education Project which is just getting off the ground to provide\u00a0schooling for up to 10 children with learning disabilites in Addis Ababa.<\/p>\n
A cheque for \u00a334 raised in lieu of cards will be given to the British Heart Foundation Shop in Lichfield.<\/p>\n
Fiona Caldwell attended to talk about how Project Titan for independent travel has publicised Keyring Services all over the country. She is a great ambassador for our Club.<\/p>\n
Sue Meehan attended to receive the memory boxes and accompanying leaflets for the Live at Home\u00a0Project.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0addition, Club has supported Fistula, Born Free and Project Sierra this year.<\/p>\n
This may well be my last item on this website as Lesley takes on the role of President in April.\u00a0 I have loved working on behalf of Lichfield Club and the partnerships we have made will go from strength to strength I am sure.\u00a0 As you can see from the photograph, I had my last sparkle as President and the sparkle that the role has brought to the last 2 years will never be forgotten!\u00a0 Thank you Lichfield Club!!<\/p>\n
