Visa application to attend SIGBI Conference
Some members have encountered problems when applying for a visa to attend the SIGBI annual conference when held in the UK. Therefore, we suggest that members wishing to attend conference must apply for a visa at least six months prior to Conference.
On request, Federation Office will send you a letter of support which may assist with your visa application (please see appendix 1). If you require a letter of support, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org giving your name as it appears on your passport and the name of your Club. The letter will be sent to you by email. Please note: a hard copy of the letter may be required. On request Federation Office can send this to you by post (please advise the office of your full postal address).
We strongly advise you not to confirm travel arrangements to come to the UK until you have received your visa. We also strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your visa.

For additional information with regard to contacting the British High Commission within your country, please see appendix 2.
If you should have any queries with regard to the above, then please contact Federation Office.
