She gave an especial welcome to six members\u00a0transferring from\u00a0S.I. Colwyn Bay; and Celia Blomeley was enrolled as a full member of the club.\u00a0 She was introduced to the club by Sandra Snow and Helen Keep.<\/p>\n<p>The poetry books created in conjunction with the guides had raised \u00a3100, and this will be presented at the A.G.M. \u00a3860 had been raised for the St. David\u2019s Hospice, from the sale of knitted daffodils made by club members. President Maureen wished to thank everyone who had contributed to this wonderful effort. \u00a3135.05 had been raised for water aid at a coffee morning in President elect Mary\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<p>Jubilee Bookmarkers have been produced at a craft evening at the President\u2019s home. They will be sold in aid of the Soroptimist Diamond Education Project.<\/p>\n<p>News had been received from the friendship link in Pendleside and the Belvedere Club in Vienna. It is hoped that a sponsored walk for Gambia can take place liaising with some of our friendship link clubs, it will be titled \u2018Walking the World\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Due to expanding membership this was the last meeting to be held at Stella Maris. President Maureen expressed her thanks that the club had been allowed to hold their meetings at such a good venue.<\/p>\n<p>The next meeting will be the A.G.M. on April 19<sup>th<\/sup> at St. David\u2019s Hall, Penrhyn Bay.
