{"id":6159,"date":"2025-06-28T09:39:33","date_gmt":"2025-06-28T08:39:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/manchester\/?p=6159"},"modified":"2025-11-15T10:01:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T09:01:17","slug":"centenary-supper-with-carole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/manchester\/2025\/06\/28\/centenary-supper-with-carole\/","title":{"rendered":"Carole&#8217;s Centenary Supper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/manchester\/files\/2025\/06\/82614f23-84b2-42ed-91c6-04b5e3bd9708.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-6162 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/manchester\/files\/2025\/06\/82614f23-84b2-42ed-91c6-04b5e3bd9708-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/manchester\/files\/2025\/06\/82614f23-84b2-42ed-91c6-04b5e3bd9708-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/manchester\/files\/2025\/06\/82614f23-84b2-42ed-91c6-04b5e3bd9708.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Our Centenary year of fundraising suppers continued on Friday evening with a supper hosted by Past President Carole at her home in Horwich.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the hottest day of the year, seven club members plus Sue\u2019s intrepid traveller friend Sharon, started the evening cooling down in Carole\u2019s pretty garden with welcome glasses of refreshment!<\/p>\n<p>Carole provided a most delicious supper and the evening unfolded with plenty of discussion and chat, some of it Soroptimist related and some not; nothing off limits and all of it entertaining.<\/p>\n<p>It was a most enjoyable evening \u2013 great food, great company, once again proving that Soroptimists are sisters and most importantly good friends.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, Carole, for making us all so welcome.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since I am situated in probably the most southern outpost of SI Manchester, Carole extended her generous hospitality to me with Bed and Breakfast, so I was lucky enough to have an overnight stay in Carole\u2019s lovely new house.<\/p>\n<p>Carole lives right on the Lancashire\/West Pennines border.
