We achieve this through Programme Action work focused on education, empowering and enabling women and girls, awareness raising, advocacy and action and through local partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Membership of SI Medway and Maidstone gives an opportunity to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Take part in local, national and international projects and fundraising to support women and girls<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy service, friendship and fun with like-minded women<\/li>\n<li>Lobby, influence and make a difference for women at home and abroad<\/li>\n<li>Attend international and national conferences, meeting women from different countries and cultures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Review of programme action activity in 2022-23<\/h3>\n<p>At our AGM on 13 April <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/SIMM-PA-report-2023-1.pdf\">a report of activity<\/a> over the last 12 months was presented in a written report.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>SI Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists currently support through service and programme action:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Locally<\/strong> \u2013 Byron Primary School, Dandelion Time, Plastic free Medway, Women\u2019s Refuge, Medway Food Bank,\u00a0 Carers First and Dementia Friendly &#8211; Maidstone<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nationally<\/strong> \u2013 Campaigns and projects to eliminate Human Trafficking, Blythswood Care Christmas Shoebox Appeal and Alzheimer&#8217;s Society<\/p>\n<p><strong>Internationally<\/strong> \u2013 Amnesty International, Zisize, Education in Ethiopia, and SI Accra Kente Sashes<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Programme Action Project Leads in 2023 &#8211; 24<\/h3>\n<p>We have identified <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/SIMM-PA-report-2023-1.pdf\">project leads\u00a0<\/a>for each of the main
