{"id":5461,"date":"2021-05-30T21:50:16","date_gmt":"2021-05-30T20:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/?p=5461"},"modified":"2021-06-03T22:30:18","modified_gmt":"2021-06-03T21:30:18","slug":"how-are-soroptimists-supporting-little-pack-big-impact-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/2021\/05\/30\/how-are-soroptimists-supporting-little-pack-big-impact-initiative\/","title":{"rendered":"How are Soroptimists Supporting Little Pack Big Impact Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Early in April we read on SI Preston\u2019s Facebook page about \u2018Little Pack Big Impact\u2019 the Medicine Pack Recycling Programme that Terracycle (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.terracycle.com\/en-GB\/brigades\/medicine-packet-uk\" data-qtip=\"https:\/\/www.terracycle.com\/en-GB\/brigades\/medicine-packet-uk\">https:\/\/www.terracycle.com\/en-GB\/brigades\/medicine-packet-uk<\/a>\u00a0) were involved with.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a UK wide initiative where they will accept any brand of empty blister pack. Once collected, the empty blister packets are separated by polymer type and cleaned (if necessary). The material is then extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Those local pharmacies found to be taking part are Superdrug in Sittingbourne and Paydens in Bearsted where each has a collection box.
