{"id":5797,"date":"2022-02-28T23:33:09","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T23:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/?p=5797"},"modified":"2022-02-28T23:33:09","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T23:33:09","slug":"day-of-reflection-in-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/2022\/02\/28\/day-of-reflection-in-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Day of Reflection in 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Medway and Maidstone club held their Day of Reflection at the Millennium Centre in Rainham on Saturday 26 February. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Seventeen members attended the Day including three of our newer members, for whom it was their first-time taking part.<\/p>\n<p>Liz Duckworth facilitated the session where we reviewed our Growth Plan 3 Year Strategy and Action Plan. Originally SIGBI had recommended the vital few elements to focus on were: &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Membership<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and communications<\/li>\n<li>Partnerships and awards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, as this work has evolved Medway and Maidstone have also included: &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programme action<\/li>\n<li>Social and fundraising<\/li>\n<li>Running the club<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The day progressed generating lots of discussion. We looked at the way we do things and what had been achieved. Covid had impacted and we acknowledged we had to do things differently, however overall, the outcome indicated we had either met our targets or exceeded them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2022\/02\/Use-one-word-to-describe-Soroptimist.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5800 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2022\/02\/Use-one-word-to-describe-Soroptimist.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"332\" height=\"249\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2022\/02\/Use-one-word-to-describe-Soroptimist.png 1024w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2022\/02\/Use-one-word-to-describe-Soroptimist-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 332px) 100vw, 332px\" \/><\/a>We identified words that each of us felt best described Soroptimists, and these are shown in the attached image.<\/p>\n<p>As with any typical Soroptimist get together then food and drink plays a key role in the proceedings and it was no different on this occasion.
