{"id":6163,"date":"2023-04-14T17:08:46","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T16:08:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/?p=6163"},"modified":"2023-05-10T17:10:53","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T16:10:53","slug":"regional-president-lynne-attends-si-medway-and-maidstones-agm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/2023\/04\/14\/regional-president-lynne-attends-si-medway-and-maidstones-agm\/","title":{"rendered":"Regional President Lynne attends SI Medway and Maidstone&#8217;s AGM"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Members welcomed Regional President Lynne to our AGM Dinner held at the Holiday Inn Rochester on 13 April. <!--more-->It was President Lynne\u2019s first visit to Rochester and so she also visited some of the historic sights.<\/p>\n<p>President Lynne said she was impressed with our Club\u2019s impressive reports outlining our extensive achievements, particularly the range of programme action projects.<\/p>\n<p>She told us about her Regional Project, The Girls Network which helps girls achieve their potential via education. Lynne has been mentoring with the programme since 2019. All the girls on the programme are from deprived backgrounds. Mentors play a key role as they help build the girls confidence and support them in many ways.<\/p>\n<p>Janet Hughes thanked President Lynne for attending and presented her with a donation of \u00a3100 for her Regional project.
