{"id":6471,"date":"2024-01-22T10:15:27","date_gmt":"2024-01-22T10:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/?p=6471"},"modified":"2024-02-08T10:35:18","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T10:35:18","slug":"who-is-our-new-friendship-link-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/2024\/01\/22\/who-is-our-new-friendship-link-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Who is our new Friendship Link Club?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Annette Davies of SI Medway and Maidstone and Christine Cole of SI Chaguanas from Trinidad and Tobago met at the London Conference in November. <!--more-->This chance meeting led to a discussion about having a Friendship Link between our two clubs.<a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Christine-Cole-and-Annette-Davies-at-London-Conference.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6472 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Christine-Cole-and-Annette-Davies-at-London-Conference.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"314\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Christine-Cole-and-Annette-Davies-at-London-Conference.jpg 686w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Christine-Cole-and-Annette-Davies-at-London-Conference-300x260.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 363px) 100vw, 363px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This proposal was agreed by all members at our December meeting. Our Friendship Link Officer Julia Search followed up completing the application online. Within weeks this was approved, and a Friendship Certificate received. SI Chaguanas posted the exciting news on their Facebook page about our new Friendship Link.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Friendship-Certificate-03-01-2024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6473 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Friendship-Certificate-03-01-2024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"384\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Friendship-Certificate-03-01-2024.jpg 960w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/files\/2024\/02\/Friendship-Certificate-03-01-2024-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our first Zoom Friendship Link Get Together for 2024 was held on 22 January and 3 members of SI Chaguanas joined us. Also in attendance were members of our other Friendship Link clubs from SI Accra, SI Heswall, SI Osnabruck, and SI Voorburg.
