Nucleus Arts in Medway are inviting people to take part in Forget-Me-Not Medway. It is a community project supporting dementia awareness. It is an opportunity to be part of something big by making something tiny. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This year, Dementia Awareness Week begins on May 13th to 19th.<\/p>\n

Did you know that someone develops dementia every three minutes in the U.K.? It\u2019s true, and dementia not only affects old people (over the age of 65), but it can also affect people in their 30s, 40s, or 50s. Many people with dementia feel cut off from their community, lose friendships, and face the condition alone. Dementia Awareness Week is all about supporting people with dementia and making the U.K. a dementia-friendly place.<\/p>\n

Two members of Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists have taken up the challenge to knit some forget-me-nots using the knitting pattern provided. Each forget-me-not takes 10 minutes to make and 90 were made over a weekend and also meets the President Ruth’s 90 Challenge. A total of 15 hours knitting was done.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The 90 forget-me-nots were delivered with information about us as Soroptimists as it is Membership month.<\/p>\n
