{"id":6874,"date":"2025-02-15T11:53:41","date_gmt":"2025-02-15T11:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/?p=6874"},"modified":"2025-03-13T12:27:27","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T12:27:27","slug":"time-for-fun-and-friendship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/2025\/02\/15\/time-for-fun-and-friendship\/","title":{"rendered":"Time for Fun and Friendship"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]With such busy schedules for members over the Festive period, Medway and Maidstone members decide to have an After Christmas Party on 18 January. <!--more-->Our host was Wanda Wright who opened up her home \u00a0to 19 members with some partners for a Bring and Share Supper.<\/p>\n<p>There was plenty of time for chatting with old and new members in relaxed surroundings whilst enjoying the selection of delicious food brought by members. We also brought a small, wrapped gift as part of the Secret Santa. So, before the enjoyable evening was over it was time to find out what Santa had for each of us. Then it was time to say farewell and thank you to Wanda and her husband for their excellent hospitality and head home.<\/p>\n<p>Wanda as our Club Social Secretary is always busy looking for ideas for things for members to do and places to go. One suggestion was to go and see the MARS War and Peace exhibition at Rochester Cathedral (11 Feb- 8 March).<\/p>\n<p><em>Mars: War &amp; Peace<\/em>\u00a0is a touring artwork by UK artist\u00a0Luke Jerram. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the artwork features detailed NASA imagery.
