This legal structure is designed specifically for non-profit organisations in the UK. Introduced by the Charities Act 2011, a CIO combines the benefits of having a separate legal identity, like a company, with the simplicity of a traditional unincorporated charity.<\/p>\n<p>The Soroptimist organisation is about \u2018Women at their best, working to help other women be their best.\u2019 Our club was founded in 1946.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years the club has raised hundreds of pounds to give to charities that work with women and girls, both locally and internationally.
