{"id":7198,"date":"2026-04-26T10:33:04","date_gmt":"2026-04-26T09:33:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/?p=7198"},"modified":"2026-05-11T12:28:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T11:28:19","slug":"soroptimists-volunteer-at-foreshore-litter-pick-on-river-medway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/medway-maidstone\/2026\/04\/26\/soroptimists-volunteer-at-foreshore-litter-pick-on-river-medway\/","title":{"rendered":"Soroptimists Volunteer at Foreshore litter pick on River Medway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Saturday 25 April two Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists Jane and Stella Barnes joined in the Foreshore litter pick organised by Friends of Rochester Churchfields Esplanade (FoRCE). \u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sixteen volunteers spent two hours\u00a0 equipped with litter pickers and plastic sacks\u00a0 collecting the rubbish we came across.\u00a0 We filled 24 sacks with the usual discarded items\u00a0 such as drink cans, beer bottles, plastics, sweet wrappers and crisp bags.
