Celebrating 14 years of partnership between SIGBI and Humanity & Inclusion (HI)

This month marks 14 years of friendship between Humanity & Inclusion (HI) and Soroptimist International clubs in Britain and Ireland. From the 2004 Pyramid of Shoes event in Trafalgar Square and the Ban Cluster Bombs campaign to the annual Forgotten 10 Challenge we’re very proud of our history together.

Read about the history of Soroptimists and HI working together

Last year 656,351 people benefited from HI’s projects to support individuals and communities affected by explosive weapons such as landmines whilst 277,194 people received life-changing rehabilitation care from Humanity and Inclusion’s teams of physiotherapists, prosthetic technicians and others.

HI are looking forward to working with Soroptimist clubs and many other groups over the next few months. Here are four different ways your Club can get involved between now and the end of the year:

Every Step Counts fundraising walks (anytime)

Whether it’s a Sunday morning walk to a pub or something a bit more adventurous, organising your own fundraising walk is a meaningful, easy and fun way to support HI’s life-changing work. Find out more.

Super Hero Tri (August)

HI have free places in this year’s Super Hero Tri event in Windsor on 18th August. Super Hero Tri is a unique, fun and most importantly inclusive triathlon for people with disabilities and long-term injuries.  If you or any of your members knows someone that would like to be a superhero for a day, this is the event for them. Find out more.

Forgotten 10 Challenge (1st-10th December)

Raise your voice for the forgotten victims of conflict this December by organising a Forgotten 10 Challenge event such as a Tea at 10 coffee morning. This year HI are asking local clubs to contact their MPs to raise awareness about the Stop Bombing Civilians campaign. Find out more.

Quiz for Humanity & Inclusion (anytime)

Whether you’re a budding mastermind or simply up for a fun event our brand new Quiz Pack is perfect for a fundraising Quiz Night or coffee morning. Order your Quiz Pack here.

If you would like more information, or have any questions please call the HI office on 0330 555 0156.

We’re very lucky to work with so many brilliant clubs and groups and clubs and would love to work with your Club this year.John McGreachy, Humanity & Inclusion
