New Club Chartered in India

The chartering event of SI Hyderabad was successfully completed on 17th November 2018 at the CME Hall of Century Hospital, Hyderabad.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Shikha Goel an IPS officer (Indian Police Service) and she also champions several women centric causes. She spoke on her various initiatives taken to ensure giving women an equal place in Society.

The event commenced with the signing of the Charter led by the Chartering officer on behalf of SIGBI Ms. Lata Krishnan, SI India President. The President’s chain was presented to Deepika Chalasani the President of the new Club. Then the badging of the 34 members took place. This was all preceded by the symbolic lighting of the lamp.

Lata Krishnan rendered her address followed by Deepika’s inaugural address which also had a Power point presentation of projects undertaken by the new Club over the past year.

Short speeches by Rema Ramchandran, SI India Membership Officer, Shreelatha Narayan, SI India Immediate Past President, Anu Patil, SI India Organisational Development Officer and the two SIGBI Assistant Programme Directors Nisha Ghosh and Naina Shah followed.

We were delighted to have Dorothy from SI Germany and Sue Waters from SI Kingston upon Thames, UK present.

The Press from both print and audio visual media were present.

The event closed with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem followed by Fellowship over High Tea.
