SIGBI News Briefing – 19th March 2021

CLUB REGALIA INSURANCE FAQs – Further to the Finance Director’s letter to Clubs regarding the insurance for Club Regalia in the Club Mailing on 19 February, SIGBI HQ has received a number of questions regarding the new insurance cover and these have been collated into the Frequently Asked Questions below, which we hope will aid your understanding of the cover provided. The document also contains a link to the AON Risk Register:

SIGBI WEBSITE – WORDPRESS PLUGIN UPGRADES – The SIGBI Website is having some WordPress Plugin Upgrades applied, which will result in a 48 hour content freeze on 12th and 13th April. Please do not make any updates to your websites on these dates. You will be able to view the website on these dates, although there may be a slight downtime of the website for half an hour on 13th April.

TREE PLANTING MAP – Don’t forget to complete the form to submit your tree planting data by end March for inclusion in April’s update. Note, if you have donated to SI South Kolkata’s mangrove planting, please do not submit a report. They are collating all data on this. Thank you.

FRIENDSHIP LINK REGISTER FORM 2021 – Please see below the Friendship Link Register Form 2021, which needs to be completed and returned to Bhaswati Biswas sigbifriendshiplink.bhaswati@gmail.com by 15 May 2021. Bhaswati has requested that the email contact information provided for your Club is a permanent email address, so that it will be in use no matter who the Club Friendship Link Officer is:

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 8 MARCH 2021 – Remember to use the International Women’s Day graphic from the Centenary Toolkit on your social media posts on 8 March 2021. Or, if you prefer, use the picture frame with your members doing the #ChooseToChallenge pose.  A suggested message is “SI XXX are supporting International Women’s Day as part of the #SoroptimistsCentenary by taking part in #ChooseToChallenge.” PR, Marketing and Communications Director, Nisha Ghosh, has commissioned an artwork which can also be used. It depicts women’s role in nurturing trees. The style is in the mode of Warji, a tribal art form. The colours used are basic and the terra cotta background colour denotes earth tones .
