SIGBI News Briefing – 4 March 2022

CLUB NAME BADGES – NEW CONTACT – Corporate Insignia have appointed a third party to handle orders for Club Name Badges. This company will collate the orders and forward them in batches to Corporate Insignia, who will continue to produce the badges. The reason is that it is not sustainable to produce orders for single or small numbers of badges. Note that this may result in orders taking longer to process, and there may also be an increased cost for the badges. We are waiting for information on that. We are looking at other possible suppliers, but the main issue is with SIGBI producing the artwork for a badge that is then ordered directly by Clubs, which most companies do not offer. We are also finding other companies quite expensive on price.  We will keep you informed, but meanwhile please direct any orders for name badges to:

CLUB NEWS FOR SOROPTIMIST NEWS – Remember to send your items of Club News on an ongoing basis to sally@sigbi.org, whenever you have some special news to report. A high—resolution, interesting photograph needs to be provided and around 50 words. Items will be selected for Soroptimist News based on originality/interest and photograph quality.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY PHOTOGRAPHS – We will be posting Clubs’ activities for International Women’s Day on the SIGBI Website, in the form of a slide show, as soon as possible after 8th March, whilst it is still “news”. Therefore, if you hold an event please send a good photograph by the following day to sally@sigbi.org and no more than 10 words (to include Club name) describing your activity. The words will be used as a caption for the photograph, so it needs to be short. The words “and District” will not be included in Club Names to save space. Thank you.
