There are two guides available on How to Start a New Club.
The first is for Clubs being formed within a Region or a National Association/Network. It is intended to be used by the Organisational Development Team of the Region/National Association/Network who will guide the new Club to being chartered.
The second version is for use in a country where there is currently no Club or only 1-4 Clubs. It will be used by a non-Soroptimist to try to start a new Club in her country.
The forms referred to in the Guides are available as separate documents. There must be 12 founder Members before a Club can be chartered, and evidence of programme work being undertaken must be provided.
If there is interest in your area to set up another club, there is a team ready to assist you every step of the way. It is recognised that the possibility of a new club can come about in many ways. Every Region, National Association, Network and Country will be proactive in regularly reviewing their area for places, which could support a new club.
