Associate Membership

Associate Membership is now available, so if you have any contacts who may be interested in this Membership Offer then please do contact Sally Higgins – sally@sigbi.org.

Obviously we hope that existing Club Members will want to stay Members of their Club and enjoy the many benefits that brings of working together, but if any Members no longer have time to be involved with Club Activities and would like to transfer to Associate Membership, then please complete a transfer form and email it to sally@sigbi.org.

We have contacted previous Members to see if they would be interested in Associate Membership.  If any Members who have left wish to become an Associate, they will need to be “reinstated” so should complete the Associate Member Form for Past Members of SIGBI.

See the Associate Member Page on the main SIGBI Website for details of the Associate Membership offer.

An alternative to Associate Membership, for Members who can’t attend Club Meetings, is to become Linked Members of their Club.  There is an Easy Stages Guide to Linked Membership on the Easy Stages Guides page.

Other Documents

Please see below a flow chart of communications that Associate Members will receive during their first year of Membership, and what the role of the Vice President is.  There is also an Associate Member Code of Conduct and Terms & Conditions.

Follow up letter re Communications between Regions and Associate Members – April 2017

Please see below a letter from Sue Williams with an update on Associate Members and the way that we hope Regions/NAs/Networks will communicate and engage with them.  We now have 80 Associates – lists were sent to Regions/NAs/Networks with their Associates at the beginning of March, and the next lists will be sent in June, after all the Annual Returns have been processed, when we may have more.  Please do engage with the Associates in your Region/NA/Network and encourage them to come to meetings and Programme events where they will meet other Soroptimists.  Thank you:

Communications between Regions and Associate Members – December 2016

Several Regions have asked SIGBI for guidance on what communication they should send to Associate Members, so the letter below sets out the relationship between Regions/NAs/Networks and their Associate Members.  So far the majority of Associates are in the UK (although there are a couple of exceptions), but we hope that more Associates will join from throughout the Federation.  Please do communicate with them, and let them know what activities are happening within your Region in which they may be interested in taking part:
