Ways to Recruit Members

If every member of SIGBI could introduce one new member (relative, colleague, friend or casual acquaintance), then membership would double and encourage even more people to join.  SIGBI’s Programme would benefit, and the increased opportunities for friendship and travel would benefit members.  It’s a win-win situation.

Gift Vouchers for Membership

Some Clubs have requested that gift vouchers be developed for them to use to offer “discounts” on Membership to women to encourage them to join, so we have developed two gift vouchers that can be used by Clubs., one for Associate Membership and one for Club Membership.

The gift vouchers are both intended to be issued and completed electronically and forwarded by email. They could be used as Christmas/Birthday/Mothers Day gifts, or as a gift for a speaker at a Club meeting, for example.

Full details of how to use the vouchers is given in the letter below. The Club Membership Gift Voucher can be downloaded, and the Associate Membership Gift Voucher (pictured) can be ordered from SIGBI HQ.

New Member Referrals from SIGBI HQ

SIGBI HQ have introduced a new section of the database for “prospects”, which are enquiries from the SIGBI Website (or by telephone/email/letter directly to SIGBI HQ), which we then forward to Clubs.  This means that prospects can be captured straight onto the database, and later converted (if applicable) to Club Membership or Associate Membership.  It will also make monitoring the progression of their enquiry easier.

We realise that most new Members are not from referrals from SIGBI HQ, but we hope that by capturing more information about these prospects we can identify why women either join or do not join, and what they are looking for in their Membership.  Please read the letter below for full details and what this change means to your Club:
