Members celebrated International Women’s Day by wearing purple and posing for a group photo with the #EachforEqual International Women’s Day 2020 Campaign sign.
Regional President Rose then paid tribute to SI Central Birmingham Club which has sadly decided to disband. The Club was founded on 24th October 1928 and was the sixth Club to be formed in the UK. After 90 years of service and advocacy on behalf of women and girls, the Club will be sorely missed. Fortunately, some members are transferring to other Clubs in the Region or are becoming Associate Members.
President Rose then thanked SIGBI President Isobel on her fantastic initiative of enrolling national treasure Joanna Lumley OBE to be our Ambassador for the Empowering Girls in Nepal project
