As well as providing food, we offer the opportunity for the women to talk to someone who is not part of the professional support system. Over the summer members also made donations to a second refuge and trafficking sanctuary of 3 car loads of toys, clothing, and toiletries. The women in the trafficking sanctuary were interested in learning and improving their cooking skills so we also donated 40 cookery books and a slow cooker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/image3.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5330 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/image3-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"People chatting and enjoying coffee\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/image3-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/image3.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Members enjoyed a coffee morning at the home of one of our members and raised over \u00a3500 enabling us to make a donation of \u00a3800 to the Purple Community Fund as an initial amount to fund a Menstrual Health Programme for girls in the Philippines who live on a toxic waste dump. Availability of sanpro products ensures they can stay in school and not have to miss days owing to their period. The girls receive both menstrual health education and menstrual hygiene products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/PXL_20221010_135151062.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5332 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/PXL_20221010_135151062-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Used tablet blister packs\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/PXL_20221010_135151062-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sigbi.org\/midland-chase\/files\/2022\/10\/PXL_20221010_135151062.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>As part of our commitment to reduce waste, collecting medical blister packs &#8211; which cannot be recycled in the usual way at home &#8211; has been very popular with our members, their families and friends. So much so that we have to date recycled 185kg of blister packs through the Superdrug\/TerraCycle project. By utilising a few local Superdrug Pharmacies as drop off points, we have been able to reach this amount.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you&#8217;d like to be part of this amazing Club
