[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]More than 60 guests joined Immediate Past President Michelle and Incoming President Jen to celebrate the 2024 Regional Change of Insignia of SI Midland Chase. The setting was the lovely surroundings of Brocton Hall Golf Club<\/a>, where despite the weather, debris and flooding created by Storm Bert, a very warm welcome was found.<\/p>\n

The room was decorated with lanterns and in orange to mark the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism – Against Gender-Based Violence: a separate presentation of the region’s Rosie’s Plaques Project was also on display.<\/p>\n

The guests were welcomed by new President Jen and her daughter Darcy (12) and enjoyed an excellent three course lunch.\u00a0 During coffee IPP Michelle reviewed her year in a highly entertaining way and paid tribute to the support she had received from her Exec team and all the clubs in the region.\u00a0 President Jen then went on to set out her priorities, where women’s health and literacy in refuges will be cornerstones for her year. Her mantra is “Connect 2 Perfect” and she is passionate about leveraging networks and contacts to develop Soroptimist membership and deliver effective service projects.<\/p>\n

We thank IPP Michelle for her excellent leadership and look forward to 2024-5 with a different regional structure and approach.<\/p>\n
