[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The region meeting was held at the YMCA in Newark on 18th November 2023<\/span><\/p>\n

Clubs were given the opportunity to have a fund-raising stall with some clubs showcasing their craft work.<\/span><\/p>\n

 [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_media_grid element_width=”12″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1711394710533-df035748df1ba401b141f77526f2e00f-9″ include=”4920″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Four individual members stepped up, sharing their conference experiences at Soroptimist International Convention in Dublin in July and the more recent SIGBI Conference in London early November. These were- Hazel Fish, Dr Mary Cooke, Gill Proud and Brenda Wallam.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheila Rollinson, <\/strong>a trailblazer for women’s football who founded Derby County Ladies Football club and has dedicated 50 years to Football. Her inspirational talk about her journey where she played a central role in the development of the game in the Midland area.<\/span><\/p>\n

We really enjoyed listening to her story as it is not too dissimilar to our pledge for advancing the cause of women and girls being given as many opportunities as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

How and what we can do positively to reduce the impact, to realise our actions and striking a balance.
