{"id":101,"date":"2014-09-29T15:01:47","date_gmt":"2014-09-29T14:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/milford-haven\/?page_id=101"},"modified":"2025-02-02T17:56:49","modified_gmt":"2025-02-02T16:56:49","slug":"2015-16-a-year-of-celebration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/milford-haven\/what-we-do\/historic-activities\/2015-16-a-year-of-celebration\/","title":{"rendered":"Reflections of a Diamond Year of Celebration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;131&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: x-large\">As our 60th anniversary year draws to a close I hope that everyone has enjoyed something of our various festivities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">We began our year of celebration with a Reception at Milford Haven Museum where we entertained dignitaries of the town and showed off\u00a0our exhibition of photographs and memorabilia which had been such fun to put together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">At the end of June we entertained members of our sister clubs from USA, the Netherlands and Harrogate for an action packed Friendship\u00a0weekend including singing, dancing, eating, and a lot of laughter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">In September, we hosted a formal celebration lunch and welcomed Soroptimists from other clubs in our Region as well as\u00a0past members. We were entertained by One Voice Choir to round off this memorable event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Finally,\u00a0a service o<\/span><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">f thanksgiving at St. Katherine&#8217;s church was followed by a Tea Party attended by club members both past and present. Thank you to all club members for your support in\u00a0organising these activities throughout the past year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Past President: Anne Johnson. 2015-2016<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;420&#8243;
