Soroptimists are\u2026.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Soroptimist International is a global women\u2019s organisation with Clubs all over the world. Soroptimists inspire action and create opportunities to transform the lives of women and girls. The local Soroptimist Club in Milford Haven has a lively and diverse group of about 25 women members from Milford Haven and the surrounding areas. The work of the Club is local, national and global. We apply the 3Es \u2013 <strong>E<\/strong>ducate <strong>E<\/strong>mpower\u00a0<strong>E<\/strong>nable\u00a0which include fundraising and campaigning activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\"><strong>Soroptimist International<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Are you looking for a club which acts locally and thinks globally?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Do you want to meet women from different walks of life?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Would you like to find out more about human rights issues affecting women and children?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\"><strong><em>Then perhaps Soroptimist international is for you.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\"><strong>What is Soroptimist International?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">A non-governmental organisation with direct access to the United Nations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Over 66,000 club members in more than 120 countries working together to make a difference<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Soroptimists are women &#8211; teachers, artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, voluntary workers, accountants\u2026. working, retired, in training or taking a career break \u2013 of all ages, cultures and ethnic groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">There is more information on the Soroptimist International website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soroptimistinternational.org\/\">www.soroptimistinternational.org<\/a> and the Soroptimist International Great Britain &amp; Ireland (SIGBI) website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sigbi.org\/\">www.sigbi.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\"><strong><em>You could be\u00a0a Soroptimist\u2026..<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Members of Soroptimist International Milford Haven are from the town and the surrounding areas including Neyland, Llangwm, Burton, Houghton, St.Ishmael&#8217;s, Hakin and Steynton. The club supports charities locally (e.g. Paul Sartori Hospice at Home and Pembrokeshire Women&#8217;s Refuge), nationally (e.g. Breast Cancer Now and Age Cymru), and internationally (e.g. Lend with Care and the Morning Star Orphanage in Nepal).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">Throughout the year we arrange and challenge speakers on local and national issues, and participate in activities so that we are <strong><em>\u201c<\/em>women inspiring action,<em> transforming lives\u201d.\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>For details of the club programme, where we meet and when click please on <a title=\"Club Programme of Events\" href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/milford-haven\/club-programme-2023-2024\/\">Club Programme of Events<\/a> on the left of the screen.\u00a0 We call our voluntary work \u201cProgramme Action\u201d.\u00a0 Programme Action is the reason for being a Soroptimist.\u00a0 It reflects the <a href=\"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/what-we-do\/sigbi.org\/who-we-are\/\">Vision and the Mission<\/a>\u00a0of Soroptimist International.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you a woman who wants to make a difference?
