We have donated <strong>over \u00a36,000 worth of toiletries<\/strong> to our local charity partners, supporting women and girls who struggle to afford everyday essentials.<\/p>\n<p>Working with MK Act, UnityMK, YMCA MK and SAASSBMK, we help provide basic toiletries and sanitary products, restoring dignity, confidence and a sense of normality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How you can help<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We welcome donations of <strong>new and unused toiletries<\/strong>, including sanitary products, soap, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, combs and hand and body creams.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collection points:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Great Linford Parish Council Offices<\/li>\n<li>Mead Centre, Newport Pagnell<\/li>\n<li>MK Snap, Walnut Tree<\/li>\n<li>Redhouse Surgeries, Bletchley<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alternatively, email <a href=\"mailto:soroptimistsmk@gmail.com\"><strong>soroptimistsmk@gmail.com<\/strong><\/a> to arrange collection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Together, we can make a real difference, one essential item at a time. To help fund a much-needed new refuge, they challenged local organisations and individuals to raise money in creative ways.<\/p>\n<p>Our members decided to collect <strong>50p pieces<\/strong>, setting ourselves a target of \u00a3100 by November. We asked family, friends and people we met along the way to join in.<\/p>\n<p>We were delighted by the generosity we encountered! From a kind gentleman in a caf\u00e9 who donated three 50p pieces to members of a local ladies\u2019 group and a new friend inspired by our project, our little collection soon grew.<\/p>\n<p>By December, we were proud to present MK Act with a cheque for <strong>\u00a3400 \u2013 four times our original target!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We continued the project in 2026, raising a further <strong>\u00a3125 during Big Give Week<\/strong>, which will be match-funded.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This project shows how small acts of kindness, when added together, can make a big difference to the lives of women and families rebuilding their futures.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button accordion-trigger\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"accordion-panel-Orange-the-World-and-Annual-Vigil---Working-to-End-Violence-Against-Women-and-Girls\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOrange the World and Annual Vigil &#8211;
