{"id":35,"date":"2020-04-24T14:33:11","date_gmt":"2020-04-24T13:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/milton-keynes\/?p=35"},"modified":"2020-06-02T12:09:55","modified_gmt":"2020-06-02T11:09:55","slug":"february-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sigbi.org\/milton-keynes\/2020\/04\/24\/february-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Victims of Domestic Abuse have MK Act  to turn to during Covid-19 lockdown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Victims of domestic abuse in Milton Keynes have MK Act to turn to if they feel trapped at home with their abuser during the coronavirus lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>MK Council supports services from MK Act, managed by the city&#8217;s Women&#8217;s Aid group, who have a crisis service helpline where people can turn to for help.\u00a0 \u00a0Contact can be made via either:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>The MK Act Crisis Service helpline number is<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>0344 375 4307 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>or the National Domestic Violence Helpline, which is open 24 hours on\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>0800 2000 247<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For victims of domestic abuse, the coronavirus pandemic can be an especially frightening time.\u00a0 They may be very worried about self-isolating with someone who is harming them.
