We meet on the 1st Thursday of each month, with the exception of August.\u00a0 Following speaker meetings, a short business meeting will be held.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: georgia,palatino,serif;font-size: 16px\">During August we organise a summer lunch at the home of one of our members to which we also invite our husbands\/ partners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: left;color: #000000;text-transform: none;text-indent: 0px;letter-spacing: normal;font-family: georgia,palatino,serif;font-size: 16px;font-style: normal;font-variant: normal;font-weight: 400;text-decoration: none;cursor: text;float: none;background-color: #ffffff\">Newbury and District was chartered in June 1956. At present we have 17 members from a variety of professions as well as voluntary and other organisations. We are active in the community and enjoy meeting together for fellowship and fun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: georgia,palatino,serif;font-size: 16px\">Each year our president nominates a charity for which we raise funds by organising various events.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: georgia,palatino,serif;font-size: 16px\">If you
