Over the last few years, Newcastle Soroptimists have hosted a monthly Coffee Morning in the John Lewis Store on the first Saturday of the month.\u00a0 Anyone from around the region who was shopping in Newcastle was very welcome to join us for a coffee.\u00a0 Today, we had our first coffee morning via Zoom with 12 members representing not only the Newcastle club, but also Stockton, Darlington, Penrith and Durham.\u00a0 \u00a0We were\u00a0 very pleased to have Joint Presidents Christine and Joyce join us and were very amused when two cats also decided to interrupt their sleep to pester their owners during the meeting.\u00a0 \u00a0On such a cold wet day in the city, it was lovely to have the friendship of colleagues around the region without having to drive or use public transport.\u00a0 \u00a0It was also much cheaper as some of us were never able to get out of John Lewis without spending a fortune!!!<\/p>\n
