Soroptimist International - Northallerton

Soroptimist International of Northallerton is part of a worldwide organisation of women, which is linked to the United Nations.

Welcome to SI Northallerton

SI Northallerton and District officially became a club on 28th June 2014 when we held our Charter Ceremony at Romanby Golf Club with an afternoon tea and were joined by over a hundred members from the Yorkshire Region. Our guests of honour were the President of SIGBI , SI Yorkshire President and the Mayor of Northallerton.

Mayor and Mayoress of Northallerton, SIGBI President Margaret Oldryod, Yorkshire President Margaret Cook, Ann Whitewick

Our club is now six years old and we currently have 14 members.

We usually support a number of charities however with the impact of Covid 19 this year we have been unable to meet and organise as we would usually do. Hopefully this will change in the next few months.

We do link into SI Yorkshire and also SIGBI where there are a number of projects ongoing which we will be supporting in the future. To date we will be supporting The Domestic Abuse Bill and The Planting of Trees to clebrate Soroptimists centenary next year

We would under normal circumstances have a diverse range of speakers planned and also a number of fund-raising and social events throughout the year. We are looking forward to resuming normal service.

The Soroptimists offer friendship and fun whilst making a difference to the lives of more than half a million women and girls worldwide.

New members are always welcome to come along to any of our meetings and have a coffee and a chat.
We look forward to seeing you!
