We are\u00a0 part of an International organisation\u00a0 Soroptimist International\u00a0 for women who are interested in supporting women and girls , serving the community ,working together and\u00a0 enjoying themselves.<\/p>\n

We are one of the 10 Clubs in London Anglia Region\u00a0 including\u00a0 Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn. Our Region is part of\u00a0 the\u00a0 Federation\u00a0 \u00a0SI Great Britain and Ireland ( SIGBI)<\/p>\n

We will be meeting twice a month at 2.30 t0 4.30pm\u00a0 on a Monday afternoon\u00a0 – with speakers( 1st Monday of the month) and\u00a0 business (3rd Monday of the m0nth)\u00a0 plus \u00a0various social events<\/p>\n

Our venue is the The Forum , Millennium Library Business Centre 2nd Floor\u00a0 Norwich NR2 1 TF<\/p>\n

Some of us attend Regional meetings in Cambridge and meet members of our Federation at our Annual Federation Conferences<\/p>\n

Conference was in London on 3rd and 4th\u00a0 November 2023 with President Cathy Cottridge\u00a0 \u00a0from our Region.<\/p>\n

In 2024\u00a0 the Federation Conference will be in Edinburgh from 1st\u00a0 to 3rd November<\/strong><\/p>\n

Help collect litter on a local walk \/cycle pathway.<\/p>\n

Collect\u00a0 toiletries and donate to\u00a0 Food Banks<\/em> in Norwich and Cromer and Women’s hostels<\/p>\n

EACH<\/em> (East Anglia Children’s Hospices.) \u00a0http:\/\/www.each.org.uk<\/a><\/p>\n

Leeway<\/em> Women’s Refuge,http:\/\/www.leewaysupport.org<\/a><\/p>\n

An Education Project in Hillcrest, South Africa<\/strong>\u00a0 via\u00a0 London Anglia Region<\/p>\n

strategically focuses on taking Action and Advocating on topics affecting women and girls, including<\/p>\n

Child Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation, Domestic Violence, Rights of Older Women, Migration, and Human Trafficking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Social Events\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Social events often involve\u00a0 food , sometimes held\u00a0 at member’s homes. There are walks , a plant sale, fashion show and theatre trips – often combining fundraising with social activities.<\/p>\n
